Joe---You'll just have to be sure the engine is "warm" if you decide to
sell the car someday! ...Or tell 'em that's the way racing engines are
supposed to sound!

Unfortunately, IF the engine is overbored, little can be done to correct
this, without reboring up to the next sized pistons. I'd see what the
rebuilder has to say about this slap.
