Sterrett---As reported earlier, my particular conversion kit included
the KYB non-adjustable gas shocks. How long these will continue to
perform before they break down I do not know. Both "bump" and "rebound"
are at this time close to what I consider ideal for my application. The
front of this car has the adjustable KONI'S, and I have no complaint
with these either. They have been on the car since 1983 and have approx.
200,000 miles on them. Adjusted twice (stiffer) during this period.

Lever shocks also give a satisfactory ride with stock springs. I just
never liked their inability of controlling rebound, as compared to
tube-type shocks. This was true of both the original and their (new)
replacements. This seems to be true for other TR's that I've "pushed
down on and let go".
