Peter---The B2Y's that came with the TR250 will be a little richer
thruout the throttle opening than the B1AF's that you are now using.

The biased needles in these adjustable needle carbs will eventully show
some wear on the side that rubs against the jet, over many, many miles.
This will be visable using a magnifying glass (for our older eyes) and
can also be measured, comparing the "good" sides to a measurement that
includes a worn side.

Wear at the jets can also be detected for roundness at the top. It can
also be measured using a tapered pin, properly coated with paint or
something, and lightly pressed into the jet. Further examination of this
tapered pin will show if the paint was removed equally. Not precisely,
but you'll see evidence.

Check out Nelson's findings on "changing from a fixed needle to an
adjustable needle" on the
www.buckeyetriumph.org
website, for details on how to do this.
