Bad lifters and poor lubrication seem to be the culprit for premature
cam wear. I opted to have a new cam ground instead of a regrind & the
cam shop checked my old lifters for hardness and redressed the lifters
that were good. Many of the lifters were pitted & I wanted to replace
them all but he said you could be getting another batch of garbage. At
least now all the lifters have been tested and matched to the new cam. I
recently received but have not installed the cam from Intergral Cam. It
sure looks beautiful but will not know how it works for another month.
