Just drove from California to Chicago, and the only bad spot was New Mexico,
where the Interstate was closed for the night, and I had to spend the evening
in a real dive motel, in a town called Grants.
Too bad when you have your oil changed in California, they put straight water
in the washer fluid bottle. Had streaked windows until the temps warmed back
up, otherwise all was fine.
Just make sure you take the most southern route you possibly can!!
