| Chuck-I changed to early ZS carbs used on TR4s and venting has been a
problem. Something that hasn't been mentioned in this discussion is getting
clean air into the crankcase. Back in the stone age before pcv valves and
closed ventillation systems, oil filler caps had a mesh filter to allow air
into the crankcase to replace the air drawn out by the road draft tube. For
those using an electric fuel pump, Kastner's comp manual suggests drilling
the fuel pump blanking plate to install a road draft tube with catch bottle.
Adding a vented cap should help prevent sludge formation.
