I just installed a Fram Tough Guard 3600 on my 93 Ford Ranger 3.0L V6.
The lifters now clatter until the engine is warmed up. I think this
means the oil drain back valve in the Fram filter is not working.

I have always used Fram filters since reading, in Consumers Reports, in
the early 90's, that they were one of the best. I think the world of oil
filters has changed. I've purchased some Purolators and will see how
well they work.

Comments from a Fram Quality Engineer... Interesting reading :-)
