The float may be stuck open in that carb causing fuel to overflow into the
canister. You can try gently tapping the side of the carb with something soft
(screwdriver handle, etc.) to see if you can get the float loose again. Other
options is a float that is sinking (has a hole in it) or trash stuck in the
needle valve that is preventing it from sealing off.

If you're not mechanically inclined then I would not suggest tearing the top
off of the ZS to try and find the problem so you may need to have the 6 towed
back to your mechanic. I wouldn't chance driving it with fuel spilling because
a fire is a nasty thing in an automobile.

Listers - I recently had my carbs overhauled only to find that my rear
carb is leaking fuel and traveling out the emissions tube hose, out to
the canister and finally exiting out on the ground from the antirun-on
valve. It's almost streaming out! I checked the diaphram and it's good.
I'm no expert in these things and the mechanic who did the job is 20
miles away. He's more than willing to see what he can do.

Is there something non-technical that I can do to find the problem. The
car still runs, but not well of course. I'm afraid to drive the car to
the garage for fear of a fire! I just got my car out of the body-paint
shop with a $$$$ finished, restored French Blue paint job with a ton of
needed body work. Any advice would be welcomed. It looks like I may
have to have it on a flat-bed tow truck.
