The web page for the tire says that it's tubeless, and it's shown on a wire
wheel (such as I have). Is that for real? I thought wire wheels required
tubed tires.

Just spent yesterday rebuilding the master and slave clutch cylinders. Not
too bad a job, and it feels completely different now. Much tighter.

As for the weather, we just have rain and cold. My sympathies for the 20"
of snow! I guess winter is relative everywhere.
