Hello Listers,
Well we just got back last night, 13 hours and 40 mins!! Straight through
from Rockford to New Jersey, those of you at the Trials, Shaun did not get
any speeding tickets on the return trip.
What can I say, it was GREAT!!! We got into Rockford on weds night and
surprized show hosts Kim & Ken Crowley, had some food and some beers, and
proceded to call the other hosts, Jeff, KAren and Mark and let them know we
arrived. We stayed at Ken's house overnight and helped get things ready for
the next morning.
The next day everyone started to arrive and you knew the Trials was gonna
happen!
Renewing old friendships, making new ones, lots of TR talk, lots of car stuff
to do, just what you would exspect for the Trials. The Pubcrawl was great,
the Cow-Bear Funkhana was fun, the Rallye was also fun I'm told, where as I
chose to get some ZZZ before the Banquet. The Banquet was full of fun and
surprises, and the Goodbyes until next year where sad. I believe there were
35 cars, 9 concours with Best Of Show going to Pat and Delores Pinkston!!!!
