Hi Folks,

excuse me if this message is a repeat, I had a netscape meltdown while
sending the previous version

I hate to introduce myself on a down note but....
I was coming home from a local concours when I heard the dreaded knock,
knock, knock from
the engine bay, sigh.

The car is a 74 with 75,000 original miles. The previous owner had the
motor rebuilt
at 62,000. I have a copy of the paperwork and it was a complete rebuild
but judging
from them specs it was the first rebuild.
However to have it go so quickly means bad news. Either something broke
or the
shop made a mistake. Bad news.

This weekened I get to prop it up with my new floor jack (Norco 71230)
which by the way is
a VERY nice jack and is very low profile (3.75").

I will pull the pan and the head and see what wonders await me.

I was planning on doing a full suspension rebuild this winter and
replacing the interior.
Maybe I will just put it up on my chassis dollies and do the whole thing
now....

Then there is this spare chassis that I have. I beefed it up and laser
trued it awhile ago
thinking that I would build a race car on it. Now I am thinking that
I might just build
up the suspension and stuff on that chassis (after an alkaline dip and
powercoat of course)
and then move the body over....hmmmm the car is going to be down the
rest of the
summer anyway....

Then there is this stage 3 engine I keep lusting at over at the
goodparts site
http://goodparts.com/stage3.htm
One h*ll of a lot of money but oh would it be fun to add another 50hp to
this car.
I really like driving my TR6 and it has the best sound (headers and
monza) of
any car I have had, including my close friends race preped Super 7. But
it has a
hard time keeping up with mom's in minivans.... It could REALLY use some

extra juice.

Anybody know anything about these guys (GoodParts) and their motors?

thanks in advance, -grego
