I agree, originality is important in that I don't want to change the character or appearance of the car, but outside of that changed are fine. I would even consider a transmission conversion, though

I'm thinking that straight-weight non-detergent motor oil is sometimes referred to as mineral oil. Of course braodly speaking it's pretty much all mineral oil and for that matter it's all synthetic.

"Mineral oil" is a general term for petroleum-based oils, and as such is quite broad. It contrasts to the similarly broad term "vegetable oil". Much more important to distinguish between the two type
