- Cool for me - wish it could have been less work to fix for you. What did I win? I suggest always replacing the timing chain, gears & tensioner whenever rebuilding an engine. These are wear items like

- I'd be concerned about the "loud noise" you heard. Might help diagnose the problem if the noise could be described. I agree with others that if it ran well for 1100 miles the rebuild was OK. Gotta g
