I had to change the distributor on the 1970 TR6, car runs great but the Tachometer went "Whacko" ! pulled the cable off the distributor, and can easily turn the inner cable by hand b& anyone have any

First thing to check is that the inner cable isn't protruding too far. Some cables are made wrong, or there might be something stuck in the hole inside your new dizzy. Also look for oil contamination

You shouldn't turn by hand so it is probably either broken or dis-engaged. You should be able to pull the inner cable out from the tach end and inspect it. Geo ** triumphs@autox.team.net ** Archive:

Just to be clear, I mean that the inner cable may be protruding too far at the tach end, with the other end attached to the dizzy. Even if you can turn the result easily, there has to be absolutely n
