Sure, lots of ways. I've even been known to check it by starting the engine with it and the gearbox sitting on the floor. But usually I use a 1/2" drill motor to turn the gearbox input shaft, via a

seems i had been running with a failing plug wire for while. idle had been around 600/700 replaced plug wire and am running strong on all 4 cylinders again. but idle has been at 1500 and i cant seem
