For an elbow or tee, I just assume that the centerline of the side pipe will wind up about 1/4" (for 3/4" pipe) beyond the cut. It's not exact, but close enough for my purposes. The exact relationsh

Doesn't TP Tools suggest black pipe anyway? Their system design looks like it minimizes moisture vapor in the piping so if you build with the drains they suggest it shouldn't be a problem. You could

You can use brass or copper for the vertical riser from the tank to the overhead pipes. That's the wettest, hottest air. Beyond that, good filters outlets and draining the system regularly. -- David
