Just got done doing the waist seals on the passenger door. Thanks to the archive, I had some problems, but nothing major. They're in, and are a huge improvement. However (there's always something, e

Did you ensure that the clips are installed in the recessed areas of the seal? My trick for making sure they are in the right place is to lay the strip on top of the door opening and using pieces of

Sounds like a low grade seal. The outer seal requires a flocking to act as a slider against the glass surface. If the seal is simply made with bare rubber, it will stick to the glass like a wiper bla

I have never seen outer seals with that fuzzy stuff on them. I have only seen the wiper style ones which have always worked for me. In fact, it seems to me that it is desirable to have the wiper eff

Last winter I installed two new seals from TRF. They were not the same, though. They looked identical at first glance, but one had thicker and stiffer rubber than the other. I got the impression that

I bought a rubber "Kit" from Vicky-Brit. I installed the waist as well as the fuzzy's. I have had a major job of getting the glass back in the tracks after the rebuild. Is there a Right side vs left

I just did this a couple weeks ago - used the "make a bent tool out of the old seal" trick to get them in - not fun, but not awful either. I had the same problem with the seals grabbing the glass - m

I also put some new waist seals on recently and had the same problem of them grabbing. I just kept closing the window to put them back up and they stopped doing it after a week or so (which is not a
