Thanks to Terry I now have the replacement valve cover gasket I need. I have a manual to help me replace it, but I have to ask. Any special concerns or comments on replacing the gasket? Thanks.

Here's what I like to do Put the Blue stuff on the cover, then put the gasket on the cover. Let it dry overnight. Then when you have to readjust the valve gap it comes off in one piece. Thanks to Ter

If it's made of rubberized cork, make certain that it hasn't shrunk!! That happened to me. I learned the hard way when I discovered that it was about 1/4" too short after I had already applied goop

I looked in my Haynes manual for a discussion of replacing the gasket. Nothing really. Do the screws that hold down the valve cover have to be torqued? I have two big screws holding it down. Is that

I assume that you have a later 1500 and that's a good thing. Those big screws bottom out just as they get tight, so that you can't overtighten and deform the valve cover. At least, that's how I under
