- Jim, I am mortally wounded at being singled out! Actually, thank you for letting me know. I checked my browser settings and sure enough it was set to use html, which is probably the cause in my case.

- FWIW, normal ascii (the stuff you can type with the keyboard) is not affected. I think it's just the hi-bit characters (fractions, language-specifics, etc) that get misrepresented. Shame on the Big C
