I am going by my experience with the TR4 rebuild. And there was no suggestion that these bolts on the rods or mains be changed.... in any of the 3 manuals I was using. Maybe its a TR6 engine thing.

Yes, but the original discussion was for main bearing bolts. Main bolts lead a far easier life than either rod bolts or head studs, so they rarely break or need replacement. Randall
