- That is just the opposite of how my tach acts after installing a Pertronix. At low rpms I get no readings. After about 1500 rpm the tach begins working. Once I drive a couple of miles the tach again

- Had a similar problem after installing a Crane 700 some years ago. Increased the loop on the back from one to two and the problem went away.
