It is my understanding that a ticket on your record may affect your ability to change carriers but not necessarily change the rates you pay your current carrier. An accident OTOH will bump your rates

I was assured that the ticket is "DISMISSED" when you attend traffic school and therefore never goes on your record. With that scenario, the insurance company never knows that you even got stopped. J
