Yes there is a story behind this. When the car was being built, there was supposed to be a contract set up for a donut type spare tire. Unfortunately the contract fell through and none were delivered

The bolt pattern is an AMC, which is also the same as Mopar larger body cars and earlier Ford cars-though some of the Ford rims use a narrower center hub. The best solution for a spare is find an AMC
