- Mike, I am a bit confused by your description of being able to turn the rotor about 180 degrees. If it is set in right, it should only rotate a small amount. Make sure that your distributor is actual

- Sounds like you timing is way off. Try static timing. Hand crank your engine till it's TDC (pointing to #1 plug). Connect your timing gun up and rotate the dizzy until your timing light flashes. Try
