Hi Thomas , Sounds like you have a nice car . IMO the TCF series was the best sidescreen TR ever built . Normally fuel should not drain back from the float chambers through the pump as the inlets are

An electric fuel pump will work nicely to solve the problem. Be sure to get a low pressure version ( around 3 psi I believe). I installed mine right under the gas tank, above the leftside R. Axle. A
