Are you referring to the top cover of the tunnel, attached by 10 or 12 I was under the impression that that was a feature of the Mark I cars that was discontinued with the introduction of the 4-synch

I have the hole in front of the gear chromed ring. There is three captive nuts and one in the chrome ring which could obviously hold a cover. I do not have the cover - is there such a thing? Otherwi

I have located what I think is the cover. From your description, it looks like it is. Its an oval black cover with the hole for the shifter. That hole has the four bolt holes that would line up with
