Although I've never seen a hemostat over about 10" long, you might have your friend try the local hospital (or even a vet). Sometimes they get rid of overused equipment really cheap (or even free). G

If you look in the phone book, you will find Jerryco is now American Science & Surplus. They also have a Website, but I have forgotten the URL. I would be very surprised if they did not have hemostat
