Hello list! I have yet to buy my first Sprite, but what I am looking for is a 59 MK1. I would really like to run it with a stock 948cc. I have seen that many have upgraded to the 1275. Is this due to

Thanks for all the encouragement. I want an MK1 for a weekend 'bout town car. Based on what you guys are telling me I think the 948cc is going to be fine. What is the deal with disc brakes though? (

In my experience, the drum setup is fine for a 948 car if it is in good shape. If you upgrade to a 1275 though, you should definitely upgrade to the disc setup of the later cars. Ulix Ulix __/__,__
