got the new computer. stupid question: the rj45 jack does not "click" into place in the computer's 10/100/1000 port. it's working (I'm surfing), but the cable isn't secured. that makes me think it's

Scott, typically, I've seen network jacks that are interfered with because of the computer case. Is it possible the case is preventing the clip from engaging? If so, a dremel and a few minutes is all

If you read the original, the rj-45 plug doesn't 'click' into the jack, so it will fall out at the wrong time. That is 'broke'. There were good suggestions to follow, and I am sure he will get it 'fi

it looks liek trevor is right. I examined the cable better and it's actually scorched on the jack. it looks liek the little click arm might not be up to snuff any more. off to buy a new one... thanks
