- was anyone tried to replace the old cardboard panels with a 1/8" luanne panel. I would think this should work well. Easy to cut and drill and should hold staples or glue well. Lumpy

- You don't use staples, use contact cement. I know what this stuff is and have been using it for about 30 years. It's somewhat resistant to water, but it does warp in about a year or two. jan
