Sorry to beat this to death ... but I find it hard to believe distributor 40735 DM2 specs (late TR3, early TR4) are the same as 40795 25D (late TR4 and TR4As). Can someone submit 'Advance" and 'Vacuu

Both use the same lower plate (10degrees) same weights, springs and vac. adv. the driven dog is different, I do not have the charts for the 40735, just the specs. "FT"

I stand corrected, the the 40735 & 40597 use differnt weights and springs as well as the driven dog, same vacumn advance 2-6-3 part # 54413565 on both. "FT"

No, they can't ! The 40735 distributor is not listed in the TR3 workshop manual because it was only fitted to very late TR3A/B (and early TR4) and the TR3 manual was never updated to include it. Eve
