Hi guys recently had a problem with the engine misfiring on my gt6 found out that it was because one of the carb pistons had stuck due to low oil- so the carb was not mixing which lead to soot on the

There is a specific oil sold for carbs (which I use) available from Triumph dealers (or probably any classic car suppliers). There are a few varied views on the benefits of using different weight oil

I think the last time this got discussed on the list, the consensus was that you should use whatever your car seems to run best with. I have seen a special oil formulated for carb dashpots but haven'
