Sounds like your rear flexible hose has swollen on the inside and won't allow the fluid to return. It could be master cylinder but then all the wheels will be dragging. Peter Westcott I have a Mk II

Ric, It sounds like your rear brake hose has gone bad, and is not letting fluid return to the master cylinder. Try opening up one of the bleeeders when this occurs and if fluid comes squirting out, i

I agree 100% with Peter Westcott. It seems that the problem has to be due to something inhibiting the flow of brake fluid through the line, since active pressure on the brake pedal will probably not

I just had this problem when I first installed a new MC. It was caused by mis-adjustment of the push rod. You might want to try backing off the pushrod a few turns and see if this helps. on or drag?
