It seems like most people suggest going with the e-cllip that comes with the new parts. No wait, I think more voted for using the spring clip with the two holes that you put on with the pointy pliers

Think about it. The wheel cylinder cannot go anywhere - it is contained within the revolving wheel drum so, unless your wheel falls off first, and then the drum, the cylinder is going to stay put any

But the E clip is NOT original. It's some aftermarket manufacturers bad idea. The original JC clip was "original" and will suit the concours judges. Yes, simple and good enough for 40 years. -- Frank

But the E-Clip IS original on the MGB (at least that is what is pictured in the Bentley manual), so it really doesn't qualiffy as "some aftermarket manufacturers bad idea". It is actually a solution
