On a 66 1600 how do you adjust the rear brakes ? I found the square head bolt for adjustment. I Took off the drum and saw that the inside of the adjustment bolt was square too. Is the bolt on a tape

The inner end of the adjustment bolt should look like a pyramid. Usually they're pretty crudded up from all the brake dust and such, so you may have to remove it and clean it up to really see it. Tak

Bill, when my brakes are adjusted just about right, the pedal STILL firms up a bit when the parking brake's on. Doesn't there need to be a bit of travel in the rear shoes to keep them from grabbing
