Fuel tanks are known to rust out on the top, from years' accumulation of dirt and salt holding moisture there. Sniff around, and look for any tell-tale signs of gas staining on the sides of the tank

One easy thing to check is pulling the overflow line off the ZS. It's the one that goes to the carbon cannisters. If the float needle gets stuck open (i.e. dirt), fuel will flow into this hose and p
