I need to buy a new 12v battery and wonder if the Champion batteries sold at Sam's are just as good as other batteries? An Interstate or Sears Die Hard cost a lot more and I wonder if they are worth

As far as BJ's and Sam's for tools or car stuff I wouldn't recommed either. The few brand names that the carry can be bought cheaper through catalogs. Most of the tool catalogs that I deal with ship

As far as I am concerned, almost anything beats the latest Craftsman stuff. The line that Home Depot handles is excellent, as well as the usuall KD, Snap-On, etc. For what you pay at Sears for Chines

Actually, Matco (or Mac, I always get them mixed up) makes both lines of tools. Craftsman are made in the USA, as are Husky (HD's line). Cheers!

I have had good luck w/ the champion batteries I have gotten from other sources-the one I bought from Sam's club has worked ok so far, but I did notice they used the 32 degree F cold cranking rating
