- I found a bottle of 'MetalPrep' at a specialized paint store for $10. You mix with water 50/50 and put in parts for a few minutes - goes into the pores and preps surface for better primer adhesion. S

- I found the same thing at a local hardware store for $3. Must be a smaller bottle. I'd give up on trying to find it, but just happen to walk down the right aisle. Look near other paint prep products.

- If you check with any auto. paint/body supply store, they should caryy a product called "PPG # 579 Metal-Prep", mix it 4/1, cost is 5.00 a qt., the very best rust remover, metal cleaner/prep I have e
