The original Spitfire carb is a 150CD E. I had no problem ordering a kit from Moss. Very complete. Being a simple carb, it is easier to rebuild than a Weber! A real piece of cake compared to a Dellor

Atwell and others, after closer examination I have found that my carb is actually off a '76 and has a manual choke. I dissassembles it and cleaned it thoroughly. I even took off the parts that screw

Mike, I have the manual. So far it reads like greek to me. As for the really strange gasket with the button thingy. The button almost seams like some sort of a valve or pressure release or something.
