Hi Listers, The earliest reference with a dwell reading (not specific to TFs) is a 1975 Tune-Up Specs "manual" that lists a 56-59 MGA 1500, and in fact it is the same dwell angle for all 4 cylinder M

The late TDs and all TFs (as far as I know) have in the distributor the high-lift cam, which is set to 60 degrees dwell. You don't set by dwell ......? Once I learned how to do it, I've only set by
