Great advice. It should be part of the "pre flight" whether it's an autocross, open track or Sunday drive in a Tiger. A number of years ago (I think it was '94), I ran the autocross at Sunbeams North

On the wheel nuts...I've always thought that the torque spec in the Tiger manual was awfully low...doesn't it say something like 40 lbs? IF so, that is not very much. I thought that the manufacturer

If these are correct (and I believe they are) then it makes me wonder what material makes up the studs used on alloy wheels that call for 110-120 lbs. Mark L.

Can anybody speak to the affect of a fresh layer of paint between a properly torqued nut? I've heard some claim that pulverized paint can leave the lug nut holding nothing but air. b.d.
