With all the horror stories about the jacks, I've decided to replace mine. I've heard a lot about scissor jacks. But what about those hydraulic "bottle" jacks? It would take up less space in the truc

I would say the scissor jack is a better way to go. They fold down to only a few inches high, which is a big plus. They also have a larger base both on the top and bottom which distributes the weight

The bottle jacks work just fine. The objection to them is that you have to raise the car first to get them underneath. Yeah, yeah, the Austin Healey 3000 jack won't fit under it when it has a flat r
