I actually tried that - the stripped nut is almost impossible to get to inside the shock tower. I'll look again tonite, but I recall having a real "b-of-a-time" getting a nut to "stick" with the weld

Okay - I dare you to drill and tap a 7/16-20 hole in the frame with the engine still in place. I thought of it, I was just floating the idea. Those bolts are a bugger if you cock up the threads. Euph

I hear you on this. My concern is that the two stripped bolts are on the same side, and with the one remaining bolt tight, if I lift the frame, I can see movement between the frame and the cross-brac
