Okay I know a studebaker when I see one, so he takes me over to see it and yup its a Simca 4 dr, that looks for all the world like a 57 Studebaker downsized somewhat. Don't ask me why they would copy

My first car was a Simca it was reconditioned by a friend of me old man's who was to give it to his daughter but she refused to have any part of it , at that time I was a couple of months of getting

Kvach, I'm infected also, owning a 401 Nailhead Buick powered 53 Starlight coupe and a 60 Hawk. You're right, the Loewy coupes were completely different than the Starlight/Starliner/Hawk series from

I had a '57 Golden Hawk for a while; it was basically the Loewy '53 coupe with a different grill, tailfins, and a McCulloch centrifugal supercharger on its 289 V-8. It looked great, had nice Stewart

Don't worry Doug, no question that the Lowery Coupe is at the top of the heap. Must be why I own so many of them. The 57-58 Sedans bare no resemblance what so ever, but they do have fins. Looked up S
