I don't know if everybody else has a much trouble getting these cars apart as I do, but it sure seems a lot harder than putting them back together. I'm trying to change the rear oil seal in my 70B's

I don't know if this is the answer you're looking for, but on my '74 B I had to (like your husband) tear the hell out of the rear seal to get it out. I ended up using a slide hammer with a nasty look
