Anyone know the thread size for the tapped hole on the head that mates with the stud securing the water filler housing on a stock 68 R16 head. Need to chase it with a tap. Thanks again! Matt

Hi David! I did find a vendor that had a replacement set. Bruce Schluderman, 2 stainless studs, nuts, washers and gaskets. The threads on head are not too bad. Just the first few. I'll see if the M10

I used long stainless bolts and did away w/the studs for that reason on my 66 engine. I would also thing about helicoiling the bolt/stud holes. I did on mine as well as several other places on the he
