Sorry, I don't have this particular problem but I have a tach problem that after starting the car I have to tap the gauge to get any reading. Anyone have an idea what is causing that? Thanks, Randy W

Shouldn't make any difference. The white/light-greens are to do with the coil boost circuit during cranking and should not affect the tach, especially when just turning on the ignition. Remove either

Usually a sticking needle which is a mechanical problem with the movement, although it could just be a bad connection inside the tach electronics. PaulH. -- Original Message --

The pegs on earlier instruments had a rubber coating and those on later instruments had what seems to be a thick paint. The needle may be sticking to it. Scrape off the rubber/paint where the needle
