Sounds like my TR6. Seriously, when I first acquired mine, I was having serious problems with gasoline fumes eminating from the rear of the car. No leak in the tank--but a previous owner had removed

You might want to make sure the exhaust pipes extend beyond the body work. I was getting an exhaust smell with the Monzas which ended behind the bumper. With the new exhaust they extend past the bumm
