No direct Triumph experience, but other british experience (Norton). I think it sounds like a tuning problem. Find the adjusting screws, thay have a lock nut, energize the horns and adjust the screw

Don, Lucas horns? Argh. I've noticed on many Triumphs that the low note is the one that fails first. Gives your nice, polished, sporty Triumph a bit of embarrasement at a light! ;-) Anyway, sometime

Have you tried to connect the battery leads directly to a battery? Doing so showed me that my horns were good and the problem was in the wiring. One other thing to check is the ground wire at the ru
