Sounds to me like it's in the Hand brake linkage. Disconnect it and see if it corrects the problem. If So, then you can troubleshoot that easier than the whole thing. Joe -- "Thanks to the Interstat

You didn't say what car it was but if its the TR3, you didn't end up with 10 inch shoes to go on your 9 inch system by any chance? If the shoes are not centered it can be very difficult to put drums

Is there a way to measure the shoes? They sure look the same size as the pair I took out -- BUT, there were a lot of problems in the rear brakes of this car from DPO. It sat in a field for a decade.

Well I still don't know if you are dealing with the Spit or the TR3. If its the TR3, early cars had 10 inch br akes, yours has nine inch brakes. The difference probably wouldn't be noticable unless
